A Seminole County grand jury has indicted Rachel Fryer on five counts in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Tariji Gordon.

The toddler’s body was found Tuesday, Feb. 11 in a shallow grave behind a home in Putnam County.

Sanford police said the 33-year-old admitted to putting Tariji's body in a suitcase and then burying it.

According to a police report, the child's father, Timothy Gordon, said he saw Fryer push the child onto the floor Feb. 6. The girl was reportedly found unresponsive later that day.

The grand jury indicted Fryer on first-degree felony murder, aggravated manslaughter, two counts of aggravated child abuse and tampering with evidence.

Fryer remains in the Seminole County jail without bond.

She will be back in court at 1:30 p.m. on April 1 for an arraignment.
