Agents from Homeland Security and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation raided a home owned by Florida state Rep. Linda Stewart, D -District 47, and her husband in southeast Orange County.

The agents searched the home for nearly three hours on the 4900 block of Barcelona Street. News 13 has learned Stewart's daughter has been living in the home.

One person, Darrell Roby, was arrested after federal and local agents raided the home.

Roby is charged with possession of an illegal weapon. He made his first appearance in federal court Wednesday afternoon.

Prosecutors said another gun and drugs were also found in the home.

Roby has a long criminal record. He's been arrested 27 prior times and was due to report to the Department of Corrections next week for a 23-month prison sentence.

Stewart, in a live interview on News 13 at noon, said she had been trying to evict who she called "squatters" from the home.

"I am very thrilled that they have gone in and removed these squatters," said Stewart.

She explained she rented the home to four individuals. However, at the time of the raid, only two were the original renters. She said she posted an eviction notice on the home on Feb. 13, 2014. But she said they were not going to leave and they were not paying rent.

"I was very suspicious as to what was going on there," Stewart explained.

Stewart said her daughter had been living at the home the past few weeks because her daughter had property in the home and was afraid the people living in the home would steal it.

Stewart also explained her daughter did know two of the four people who rented the home.
