A man and woman from Canada were killed Tuesday morning after a spool of wire fell off a truck and hit their motorcycle in Seminole County.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. on State Road 46 near State Road 415 in Sanford.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a spool of wire fell out of a passing truck driven by Thomas Snead, 46, of Daytona Beach and struck the motorcycle driven by 58-year-old Andre Grenier of Quebec. Grenier and his passenger, Helene Bouchard, 54, also of Quebec, were both ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP said charges are pending against Snead.
