One person is recovering after a drive-by shooting in Orange County.

Around 4:15 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to the area of 18th Street and South Nashville Avenue for reports of shots fired.

Several homes were actually hit by gunfire and they found shell casings in the road.

A short time later, deputies were called to the area near Orange Blossom Trail and Kaley Avenue.

Deputies spotted the suspect's vehicle leaving the area, but actually caught up with them when they stopped at a nearby gas station for gas.

A high caliber assault rifle was discovered in the car’s backseat.

Deputies arrested 31-year-old Jaslin Hall and charged him with principal in the first-degree attempted murder, principal in the first-degree aggravated assault and principal in the first-degree shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The sheriff’s office has not commented on a possible motive for the shooting.

The victim was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
