A milestone for Brevard County's Eastern Florida State College as the first ever graduates of the four-year degree programs prepare to get diplomas.

A dozen students will walk the stage Thursday and receive their diplomas for Fall Commencement, making school history.

EFSC became a state college in 2013 and began offering bachelor's degrees just last year -- giving students more career choices.

Nine programs are available, and right now 800 students are enrolled in them. In all 1,000 people will graduate from the four local campuses at the King Center Thursday.
