Do you live on Brevard County's beachside and want to help battle erosion?

Well the Brevard County Natural Resources Management Department and Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc. are selling sea oats to residents.

Sea oats stabilize sand, rooting down to hold onto it and slow down erosion.

They also have the ability to build dunes by trapping sand blown by the wind on the beach.

Those dunes provide a wildlife habitat and protect property during high wind and storms.

The county is offering beachside residents sea oats for planting. The trays of 96 cost $48 while supplies last.

The order form with payment must be received by Jan. 30, 2015.
