Two Marion County teens are facing felony charges after admitting to several crimes.

Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a carjacking at the Olive Garden, 3363 SW College Road.

The owner told police he was sitting in his 2009 Volkswagon Jetta in the parking lot when he was approached by two teens armed with pellet guns.

The man said the teens, who we are not identifying per our Crime Guidelines, stole his money and shot him in the shoulder before leaving.

The stolen car was spotted turning into the Steeplechase Apartments, 1421 SW 27th Ave. The driver and passenger then fled on foot.

Police said a 16-year-old suspect was apprehended a short distance away. However, his 14-year-old accomplice was located at the Blitchton State Apartments, 1741 NW 7th Street.

During interviews, police said the teens admitted to several other crimes, including burglary to a vehicle at the Olive Garden and a robbery near the Ocala Ice Rink.

The teens were each charged with two counts of carjacking, auto theft, robbery with a weapon and auto burglary.

They were transported to the juvenile division of the Marion County Jail.
