Deputies have made four arrests in the shooting of a 15-year-old boy at an Orlando apartment complex Wednesday night.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested three men and one woman late Thursday night and early Friday morning. They said tips from witnesses helped them solve the case fast.

The boy was shot at the Seminole Ridge apartment complex located at 2750 Renegade Drive around 9 p.m.

When deputies arrived they found the boy lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the back.

The child was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in critical condition. He is paralyzed.

Investigators said the victim and some friends were pelting cars with eggs, including the car of suspect Reginald Haywood, 23. After Haywood had words with the victim, he left the area.

Deputies said Haywood returned to the scene with Katwan McDuffy, 19, Tommy McDuffy, 20, and Gabriela Simmons, 18. They confronted the teen and at some point shots were fired across the playground area.

Deputies believe Katwan McDuffy was the actual shooter.

The owner of the car, Reginald Haywood, stopped to talk to reporters as he was being hauled away in handcuffs  saying he was sorry for what happened.

"Im sorry. Im very ashamed. He threw something at my car and I just went back to the neighborhood to fight him," said Haywood.

All four suspects are being charged with attempted first-degree murder.

It's the third time since Nov. 30 that a child in Orange County was shot.  A 4-year-old boy was shot during a drive by shooting in Pine Hills on Monday night and on Nov. 30, an 11-year-old girl was shot while she was in a home in the Apopka area.
