A drug sweep in Flagler County Wednesday resulted in the arrests of 14 people and seizure of drugs and money.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Flagler County SWAT Team , St. Johns County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team and members of the Bunnell Police Department carried out the “Home for the Holidays” sweep with regards to multiple individuals involved in the sale of illegal drugs within Bunnell and Palm Coast.

During the sweep, police seized $6,148.00 cash, 117 grams of crack/cocaine, 7.5 grams of cannabis, 45 Oxycodone, 7 Hydrocodone, and 19 Dilaudid pills. The estimated street value of the narcotics is approximately $10,000.

“Following a 3-4 month long investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics, 23 people were sought in today’s operation including two juveniles,” said Sheriff James L. Manfre. “This operation, like others we’ve had, is designed to make our community safer for the holiday season,” he added.

The Sheriff’s Office said several of the suspects arrested are considered habitual drug offenders and additional arrests are likely.

The charges ranged from possession of crack cocaine to sale of hydromorphone within 1000’ of a school and drug trafficking.
