Orlando police believe they have found the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a cyclist Sunday night on Orange Blossom Trail.

Police have arrested Adriana Valenzuela, after they say two tips were phoned in to report that the suspect vehicle police were looking for could be found at her residence on Wilson Avenue.

Most witnesses questioned didn't see the crash, which happened after 8 p.m. Sunday, they only heard the impact and witnessed the aftermath. Several reported observing a white Hyundai Sante Fe SUV accelerating away from the scene.

One witness however, did see the impact. That witness told police she observed the suspect vehicle approach her from the rear and change lanes in order to pass her on the right. That witness says she then observed the cyclist traveling north near the curb, and grew concerned the vehicle attempting to pass her was going strike the cyclist.

At that point, according to the police report, that witness observed the suspect's vehicle strike the cyclist, sending the victim and his bicycle flying into the air. The witness told police the suspect's vehicle did not slow down, or even attempt to stop after striking the victim.

The cyclist, identified as Steven Michael Williams, II, died at the scene.

After the story was broadcast throughout Central Florida, two phone calls leading to Valenzuela's arrest were received by law enforcement, leading them directly to her home.

When police arrived, they say they observed Valenzuela with two City of Orlando Sanitation workers changing the tire on her damaged 2003 white Hyundai Santa Fe in the rear of the home.

After a brief investigation and interview, Valenzuela was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident with death.
