Listen close over the live bluegrass music and you’ll hear the call of a rooster or the friendly greeting of a cow, for this farmer's market is really on a farm.

"You feel like you're with nature,” shares Dana Procaccini, visiting from Winter Springs.

Not too far outside the city limits of Orlando, resting under a canopy of strong oak trees, awaits a little county and a lot of fresh produce.

"We try to give a glimpse of where food came from 100 years ago and it just wasn't store bought,” explains David Lloyd with the Good Neighbors Farmers Market.

David's family has farmed this land in Oviedo since 1952.

Today, the Good Neighbors Farmers Market in Seminole County brings together tomatoes, squash, fresh corn and even kettle corn popped while you wait.

Producer vendors mix with specialty chip dip makers, bird house creators, bakeries and even natural soap makers.

"We use all virgin oils and butters to make all of our products,” said merchant Cheryl Augusma.

At the center of the shady grounds, you'll find a barn from Jacksonville that David saved and relocated to Seminole County.

"We took it down, board-by-board and brought it back."

All the extra wood needed to reconstruct the barn was milled from trees right on site, according to David.

While adults stroll and shop, the rest of the family can visit the market's large petting farm.

"It has a calm, clean feel,” Dana said.

Chickens, cattle and goats are waiting to say hello to visitors. Meantime, the pigs love peanuts and Dana loves the pigs.

"I want to take a pig home with me, that's the whole reason why I came here!” she said enthusiastically with a hearty laugh.

Little rabbits wrapped up in baby blankets are ready to cuddle.

"We always wander over here at the end of the day and let the kids interact with the animals,” said third time visitor Ryan Gilreath.

Even man's best friend is invited here.

The Good Neighbors Farmers Market in Oviedo is only open on Saturday.
