A busy intersection in Osceola County is causing some confusion after a recent name change.

The road is a busy one because it’s one of the routes tourists take from Disney to the Orlando International Airport.

An intersection previously known as Boggy Creek Road and Boggy Creek Road may have some people a little turned around, even more so now, after one of the roads has been renamed to be Simpson Road.

"I think it might be easier to follow the jets into the airport than to follow the road signs," said Tom Szabo.

It's not just confusing for those passing through, even Terrance Holmes who's lived here for about 10 years was turned around.

"What road am I on? Is it Boggy Creek or Simpson Road?" Holmes asked us.

He told us he didn't realize the signs were changing until he saw Simpson Road signs sitting on top of Boggy Creek Road signs.

A few months Osceola County Commissioners moved to change the name of Boggy Creek Road to Simpson Road to make things less confusing. However, locals like Holmes don't understand why they left the old signs up.

"I mean when you go up there it's Boggy Creek North and South, It's just totally confusing. It is." Holmes told us.

We were told they decided to stack the signs like this to make sure people knew the road was changing names, and they've left them up to make sure maps and mobile applications have time to adjust. A county spokesperson also told us these adjustments are temporary, and they hope to remove the Boggy Creek signs in early December.
