Police are searching at least one suspect in an officer-involved shooting at Clear Lake Park.

The park is located on 29th Street off Rio Grande Avenue, near Catalina Elementary School.

Orlando Police said an officer went to the park because of reports of a suspicious car. The officer tried to talk to the suspect, but detectives said he was not cooperating.

The officer shot at the driver when he put the car in reverse. It's not known if the driver was hit. He did not shoot back.

“Right now, Orlando Police is looking all over for this person," Sgt. Lovetta Quinn Henry with Orlando Police. "They’re not sure if they actually were successful in striking him. There is some rear damage to the vehicle, which is described as a silver or dark colored Buick or Oldsmobile, a late model."

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Orlando Police Department or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
