It was beautiful weather day on Tuesday, with sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s.  A frontal boundary is working its way down the peninsula at this hour with little fanfare, and pleasant weather is expected through the rest of the week.

This morning, skies will be clear with lows dropping to near 60 degrees along the Interstate 4 corridor, a bit cooler than the previous night. Areas north and west, especially in Marion County, will find cooler lows in the low to mid-50s.

High pressure will settle in behind our front, and fair weather associated with high pressure will be key to our weather pattern for the rest of the week. It will help block a surge of tropical moisture originating in the Bay of Campeche with the remnants of Tropical Depression Nine, and help steer the area of low pressure toward the western Caribbean in the next few days. Meanwhile, this ridge of high pressure will provide Central Florida with mainly dry days and seasonable temperatures for the duration of the workweek.

Rain will stay out of our forecast until Friday when the low will pass to our south, in turn keeping the steady rain well south of our area. The low is forecast to shift east into the western Atlantic near or south of the Bahamas, causing drier air to filter into Central Florida behind the low for the weekend. A look ahead to the weekend features plenty of sun each day with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s.

In the tropics, there are two areas being watched for development over the next few days. Post-Tropical Depression Nine will shift east over the Yucatan Peninsula. It is currently poorly organized and will continue to dissipate as it moves over the Yucatan. Another area of low pressure in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, Invest 92, is near the Azores and has a low chance for tropical development in the next five days.
