A Volusia County doctor accused of inappropriately touching female patients is giving up his medical license for life.

Dr. Indravadan Shah worked in South Daytona.

Earlier this year, he was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery relating to allegations that he inappropriately touched patients during exams in his office.

During the investigation, the state medical board found similar accusations dating back to 1997.

As part of a deal to get the criminal charges dropped, Shah has agreed to give up his license for life, complete 50 hours of community service, undergo therapy and have no contact with any of the alleged victims.
