A South Daytona man accused of beating his wife to death plead no contest to Second Degree Murder Monday.

South Daytona Police said on May 19 Christopher Ryan Haag, 39, beat his wife, 45-year-old Rose Marie Haag, to death in their South Daytona home.

Investigators said a substantial amount of blood was found throughout the home, including a trail of blood with drag marks, as well as several large holes in the drywall and broken drywall.

Haag will be sentenced on November 21.
