A Seminole County man is accused of firing six shots at a couple who were inside a pickup truck because he thought the woman was his ex-wife, deputies said.

Tommy Truong, 33, of Altamonte Springs, was arrested Monday and charged aggravated assault, shooting at an occupied vehicle and carrying a concealed firearm without a license. Truong has since bonded out of jail.

Investigators with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said Truong fired six shots at a man and a woman who were driving in a pickup truck around 3:17 p.m. Monday, near the intersection of 1st Avenue and Bunnell Road, in Altamonte Springs.

Truong admitted to investigators that he used a 9mm handgun and that he had "fired a few founds into the air because he thought his ex-wife and her boyfriend were in the maroon truck," a report states.

The victim said one of the rounds struck the front of the truck and possibly entered the vehicle's radiator.

Investigators found six spent shell casings in the area. Two rounds were found to have struck a second vehicle that was parked nearby. Other rounds struck a mailbox and a residence, deputies said.

Two children and another female were walking along the road when Truong opened fire, the report states.

Truong didn't know either victim, deputies said.
