Katharine the shark is not leaving Central Florida.

The 14-foot great white shark found off Canaveral National Seashore last week appears to be sticking around.

"Katharine" was just tracked off the Volusia County coastline near Edgewater.

Researchers have been keeping an eye on the 2,000-pound shark since she left Cape Cod in Massachusetts in August.

You may remember, just last weekend we told you when Katharine was swimming around off the Canaveral National Seashore in Brevard County.

She's already spent some time in Volusia County as well. She was spotted five miles off the Daytona Beach coast last month.

Katharine is being tracked by nonprofit group Ocearch.

Shark experts with the University of North Florida are dropping sensors into the Atlantic Ocean to get a better idea of how much time great white sharks spend close to shore.
