A Marion County teacher is behind bars, accused of hiding a teenage student from her parents.
Duane Adams is a teacher and coach at Francis Marion Military Academy.
Detectives said he allowed a 15-year-old girl to stay at his apartment when she should have been in school.
Her parents called authorities thinking she might have run away and suspected she might have been with Adams.
Investigators said Adams also stayed with the girl in a motel for a couple nights in Daytona Beach and even rented her a cabin at the Ocala RV Campgrounds.
Adams has denied having any inappropriate physical contact with the girl. He was charged with interference with child custody and booked into the Marion County Jail.
He was released on bond Tuesday.
