The Orlando Sanford International Airport posted a record number of travelers in 2013.

The airport said last year, 2,033,620 passengers flew through the airport, an increase of 12 percent from 2012.

Airport officials said the record numbers were driven by the airport’s largest carrier, Allegiant Air, which accounted for more than three quarters of air traffic.

International traffic was down slightly, but airport officials said booked flights are up, and they expect this year to be another record year overall.
