The 3rd Annual Barktoberfest helped matched homeless pets to their new best friends Saturday.

Orange County Animal Services held the event at Lake Eola Park, showcasing available animals from the shelter’s many rescue partners.

The event also had services for people who already own a dog.

"We were doing free micro-chipping earlier, and ASPCA came out and did $5 rabies vaccinations. We also have food trucks, and a lot of pet-related businesses are out here as well," said organizer Diane Summers.

Organizers said based on the turnout, there will definitely be a 4th annual Barktoberfest.
