A shark sighting in Cocoa Beach was too close for comfort Sunday.

Ocean Rescue told News 13 a sharked washed in near the Cocoa Beach Pier and had to be pulled back into deeper waters by a lifeguard.

Witnesses said the 5-foot shark was near where some kids were playing.

Lifeguard Zach Cooney grabbed the shark by its tail to move it away from a small crowd that had gathered.

Lifeguards said they closed that part of the beach.
