George Zimmerman's defense team is looking for evidence from what could be the state's key witness.

Zimmerman's attorneys are asking for all the recordings of Trayvon Martin's voice left on the phone of "Witness 8."

That witnesses is believed to be Trayvon Martin's girlfriend, who on the phone with him moments before the altercation with Zimmerman began.

However, defense attorney Mark O'Mara said he doesn't just want recordings for the day of the shooting; he asked the judge for all recordings of Trayvon Martin's voice available dating back three years.

The defense has also filed a motion to force Benjamin Crump, the attorney for the Martin family, to answer questions under oath.

Zimmerman's attorneys want to depose Crump regarding an interview he conducted with Trayvon's girlfriend.

That motion was among several documents the defense made public Wednesday. Another document showed a hearing has been scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday to disuss Zimmerman's upcoming "stand your ground" hearing, and whether it should be delayed.
