Two people are dead, including a Marion County high school teacher, in what investigators said was a case of domestic violence.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of Latalia Robinson, 32, and her estranged husband Dean Hamilton, 33.

Deputies said both died from an apparent gunshot wound, though details on what happened were not immediately available.

They were found Sunday by a family friend who checked their Rainbow Lake area house after not hearing from them overnight, according to investigators.

Robinson worked at Westport High School where, according to the school’s website, she taught biology.

Marion students return to class on Jan. 6.

Deputies said Hamilton worked for Cheney Brothers.

The Sheriff’s Office called the case a domestic violence death investigation.
