Police said a 51-year-old man was caught on video beating a 14-year-old boy and throwing him to the ground.

Carl Thomas Nicks was arrested Saturday for the assault, which happened the day before, according to Satellite Beach police.

The video showed two teenage boys, one of whom is Nicks' son, engaged in what a police called a "consensual fight."

As onlookers cheer on the teens, Nicks' son ends up on the bottom, when police said Nicks jumped in to help, grabbing the other boy by the back of his shirt. Police said Nicks threw the unnamed teen to the ground, then picked him up and punched him twice, all as the bystanders start jeering him for getting involved.

Nicks was charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a child. He was released from the Brevard County Jail on a $6,000 bond.
