Skies cleared during the evening after a gloomy, rainy day across Central Florida. We can expect partly sunny skies Friday.

Overnight lows will remain well above normal for the second half of November, and only fall into the middle to upper 60s and lower 70s.  Due to the steady onshore flow, we will keep a small chance for rain in the forecast, with the best opportunity for showers along the coast.

Friday and Saturday will be partly Sunny and warm, with temperatures still about 3 to 5 degrees higher than normal for late November, in the upper 70s and lower to middle 80s.  As the next cold front approaches from the west, winds will weaken and bring somewhat drier air into the region, resulting in a very low rain chance over the interior, and just a slight chance for rain along the coast.

As the cold front pushes through the area on Sunday, we will see a mix of sun and clouds, along with spotty showers.  It will become quite breezy along and behind the front on Sunday with north winds at 20 to 25 mph and gusting higher.  Along with the north wind, will come colder conditions.  Even though the low temperatures on Sunday morning will only fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s, Sunday afternoon high temperatures will not climb out of the 70s, and Monday morning lows will be in the 50s.

As an area of low pressure forms in the Gulf of Mexico and moves quickly northeast toward the Mid-Atlantic States, we will se unsettled weather in Florida with a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms, accompanied by windy weather.  All of this active weather should clear the area before the Thanksgiving Holiday.

We continue to Watch Melissa churn in the Eastern Atlantic.  The system will be transitioning into a post-tropical low over the next 24 to 48 hours, and no other tropical storm formation is expected through the weekend.
