Forensic examiners weren’t able to get anything off an iPad2 belonging to Shellie Zimmerman after she called police for a domestic violence incident involving her husband, George Zimmerman, at her parents’ Lake Mary Home in September.

Experts with the United State Secret Service said the iPad was too badly damaged for examination.

“Despite having a parts iPad, no further examination is possible at this lab due to the severely damaged components and encryption on the flash memory,” the examiner wrote.

The State Attorney’s Office said, with the conclusion regarding the iPad, insufficient evidence existed to prosecute Zimmerman.

Shellie called police on Sept. 9, after she and George, who are in the process of divorcing, got into a heated argument.

She said she took video on the iPad that showed some of the confrontation in which she said George had a gun and punched her father.

George was seen on the homes surveillance video breaking the iPad.

He has mostly been in hiding since a jury found him not guilty in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on July 13.

George was pulled over for speeding by Lake Mary police on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Before that, he was stopped for speeding in Forney, Texas on July 28.
