A 16-year-old was shot while playing basketball at Willie Mays Park in Orlando Monday.

Police say they are still trying to figure out who fired the shot and how it happened.

There was a large crowd at the park when the shooting happened around 5:15 p.m.

The teen’s brother, Marvin Giles, said he was shot in the shoulder.

So far, investigators believe it was accidental.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is listed in serious, but stable condition.

Giles said he rushed to the courts as soon as he heard about the shooting.

“Disbelief. Like, no, that couldn’t be what happened. I had to, they had to tell me over and over again. ‘Man, your brother just got shot.’ I had to run up here as fast as I could,” said Giles.

Orlando police are still investigating.
