Flowers, teddy bears and Skittles have returned to an area off Oregon Avenue, honoring Trayvon Martin.

The teenager was killed February 26. George Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense.

A small group of people put up the memorial Sunday afternoon, weeks after the city of Sanford removed it. The items from the original memorial were going to be placed in the city's museum.

But some of those who paid tribute Sunday said that's not fair, or good enough.

"If Trayvon's memorial has to be taken up, I'm going around the city and taking up all of the other memorials around the City of Sanford," said Carolyn Sullivan with Sanford KNIGHTS.

The group says that the memorial is a small part of keeping Trayvon Martin's memory alive. They are eventually hoping to put up a statue.
