Casey Anthony is now a free woman -- free to go where ever she pleases.

Her attorney, Cheney Mason, said Casey's probation for a check fraud conviction ended at midnight Thursday.

Mason said nothing special will happen. She is staying with a friend in Florida and will remain at the same home. However, Casey will no longer have to report to a probation officer and she would be able to leave Florida without permission.

Casey became one of the most infamous people worldwide when she was tried for the murder of her two year old daughter Caylee. After her acquittal last year, she was released from custody and has remained in hiding ever since.
