Emotional jailhouse phone calls and new dramatic witness testimony all released in the Case Against George Zimmerman.

More than 120 jail phone calls were released including Zimmerman's wife, Shellie, saying George was like a celebrity. The subject of the calls ranged from talking about his medication to being alone to talking to a chaplain.

“As far as those jailhouse calls, any statement made by Zimmerman on those calls, can be used in court. A defendant’s own statement is not hearsay. They can use both the prosecution and the defense can use whatever they would use out of those statements to the court,” said defense attorney Joy Ragan.

Among his wife Shellie, family and friends – we’ve also learned that Zimmerman spoke with controversial evangelist Pastor Terry Jones.

The Gainesville pastor is infamous for burning the Koran.

The phone call from inside the Seminole County jail began on April 19.

“Good morning Pastor Jones how are you sir? Can I start with a prayer sir?" Zimmerman said. "I was calling today to ask you, humbly, one God fearing sinner to the other, for time for healing not only for the city of Sanford but America.”

The self-confessed shooter of Trayvon Martin even went on the quote bible, referring to Jesus “calming the sea,” an analogy he used to describe his intentions in calling the embattled pastor.

"Perhaps you could even come visit and pray with me instead of protesting,” Zimmerman said.

In the approximately jailhouse phone calls, we hear Zimmerman speaking several times a day with his wife Shellie. One call from April 14th was with a friend, it took place almost a week before his original bond hearing.

Zimmerman described a conversation he had with his attorney Mark O’Mara.

“He said he is going to try to get me declared indigent. You know I told him I didn’t think that would be possible, because there was one sizable transfer I tried to make. It got stopped. You know, $37 dollars,” Zimmerman said.

In another other phone call two days after Zimmerman’s bond hearing, the couple refer to speaking in code about a plan for his release from prison on bond.

George: “Is the plan anything similar to what I have come up with?”
Shellie: “Yeah, it's similar yeah.”
George: “You can't tell me in code what's different?"

The state responded to Zimmerman’s defense team request for a new judge Tuesday. The special prosecutor said the request has “no legal merit” and asked the judge to deny it.

Witness no. 9 speaks out

One witness we've been waiting to hear from is witness no. 9. Zimmerman's attorney had been fighting to keep this interview from being released and now we're hearing it for the first time.

The woman claimed she has known Zimmerman and his family since she was a child. Attorney Mark O'Mara said he's going to defend Zimmerman against everything this witness said.

In the witness no. 9's interview, she claimed the Zimmerman family is racist and that's why she came forward.

“That I was afraid that he may have done something because the kid was black. OK, because growing up they’ve always, him and his family have always made statements that they don’t like black people if they don’t act like white people. They like black people if they act white and other than that they talk a lot of, a lot of bad things about black people,” the witness said.

O'Mara denied the claims, drawing doubt on witness no. 9.

“She said that in an anonymous phone call to police one day and she talked about how everyone is a racist and then its seems when that did not get traction the next day she came up with sexual abuse interesting that she called the whole family a racist yet when the FBI did their investigation they made the conclusion was that George Zimmerman was absolutely not a racist,” O'Mara said.

O'Mara said he did not want this interview released because he said it'll never be brought up in the courtroom and is irrelevant to the case.

Legal experts said that's true, this is not a molestation case it's a murder case. However, witness no. 9 could testify for the state into the mind of George Zimmerman.

Could Judge Lester be disqualified?

Also in the Case Against George Zimmerman, today could be the day we find out whether the judge presiding over the case will step down.

Zimmerman's attorneys filed a motion last week to disqualify Judge Kenneth Lester.

The motion claimed their client cannot get a fair trial, or a fair Stand Your Ground hearing from the court. The motion said Lester made questionable remarks about Zimmerman's character.

If he does indeed step down, he would be the second judge in the case to do so.
