Hundreds of people marched through the streets of Leesburg to show not only support for Trayvon Martin and his family, but also try to unify the community.

Commissioner John Christian organizaed the "Trayvon Martin. A Community United" march because he said people wanted to show support, but also try to unify the city across all races, and getting residents to partner on making the city safer.

The march began with a rally at the site of the city's original library for African Americans and continued on to City Hall.

Many in the crowd held signs referencing the newly released video of George Zimmerman being taken in for questioning with no visible cuts or bruises.

Organizers said the rally was for peace and unity, but many in the crowd demanded "justice."

“I've got three sons it could have been on my sons, they are all African American," said organizer Rev. John Christian. "We've got mothers saying it could have been their son, and we want to teach our city that we can do better.”

The rally was organized by The Leesburg Ministerial Alliance, the Community Development Corporation and City of Leesburg.
