Community pressure is growing for something to be done in the case of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Hundreds gathered and marched to the Titusville Courthouse urging the state attorney to file charges against George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who said he shot the teen in self-defense.

“I am Trayvon Martin” was recited at St. James Church where the march began.

At the steps of the courthouse, the demonstrators sang songs and chanted “we want justice.”

Michelle Mckinney was there with her 10-year-old son, Kendrick, and described how she explained to him what happened.

"It's not a black and white issue, the issue is that Zimmerman didn't listen and Kendrick wants to be a police officer. So it's a matter of him taking authority and listening to what people are trying to tell him," said Mckinney.

A town hall meeting is being organized by the Seminole County Branch of the NAACP on Tuesday, March 20.

It’s scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Allen Chapel AME Church in Sanford.

Organizers said the mayor, city manager and chief of police have agreed to attend.

Also this week, Rev. Al Sharpton is hosting a rally Thursday.

It will be held at the First Shiloh Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

Friday, the 911 calls from the night of the shooting were released. The attorney for the family of Trayvon Martin said throughout the call you can hear someone screaming for help and two gunshots.
