The sounds of live carolers are mixed with child-like wonder in Osceola County.

"It's awesome.  It's the best thing I ever had,” exclaims Amy Rimmer, visiting from England.

Add in your imagination and discover a white Christmas in Celebration, Florida no matter the temperature.

"It's fun.  It's festive,” said Celebration business owner Susan Bona.  “It makes you really feel like Christmas is here."

On select nights throughout the holiday season, snowflakes fly in Celebration.  Each hour beginning at 6 pm, Market Street is swept up in a flurry of “precipitation” falling from the sky.

"I'm from Boston, and I grew up in the snow. I moved away from the snow on purpose, so this snow, is fabulous for me,” said Susan. “I can stand here in my sandals, and enjoy it, and the kids love it, and it just makes you feel like it's Christmastime."

Parents and grandparents tend to cling to the sidewalks while children run, dance and scoop the “snow” on the brick-lined street.

"It's really exciting and everyone is crowding up to catch it,” Amy shared.  “You can also make snow angels in it. And throw snow balls, well kinda like snow balls at people."

Just don't try to eat the flakes, since they're not snow, rather something known in this master planned community as “snoap.”

"Snoap is what falls from our magical sky in Celebration.  It keeps the kids clean, it's sanitary,” Susan said with a laugh.

But leave it to youngster Peter Boyle to remove the illusion.

"This one is actually like bubbles,” Peter said.

In Celebration’s downtown area, you can dine at several bistros and taverns, finish (or begin) holiday shopping and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Even “Hello Kitty” makes nightly appearances in a store with everything Hello Kitty and pink.  An electric train departs ride to look at the lights and even hit the ice.

"The ice is actually really slippery,” Peter shared.

"It's very slippery compared to the one that is real,” Amy hinted.  “And it's kinda a bit harder than on real ice."

Ice skates are available for rent for half-hour skate sessions, but you won't get cold.

"It's not real ice, because again, this is Celebration and it's just synthetic that they skate on with real skates, it's kinda fun, it's different, but it won't melt,” Susan explained.

"More like a plastic ice,” Peter said, once again offering the science behind the magic.

"They didn't grow up on a pond like I did!” Susan concluded.
