The Coral Springs Police Department has released additional 911 calls during the terrifying moments at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14.

You can hear calls from parents who had just received messages from their kids about a shooting -- and a lot of the parents are surprisingly calm, likely not even knowing the extent of what was going on.

Many parents were still trying to piece together what was happening at the high school, and if their child was in any real danger, or if it was some sort of misunderstanding.

"She just texted me, 'Mommy please call the cops, it's not a joke. I love you if anything happens to me," one caller can be heard saying.

911 operators received call after call from parents hoping they could provide some information as to what was happening at Stoneman Douglas.

"My son is at Stoneman Douglas High School, he's locked in a closet with a teacher. I just wanted someone to know they're in a closet with no windows and have no idea they're there," one parent said.

During those moments there was a lot of confusion and hopeful doubt that there wasn't actually an active shooter situation at the school. But with call after call that hope dwindled.

A lot of parents called reporting their child's location on campus, or to say they were hiding with classmates, and one man called saying his wife is a teacher at the school and knows students are injured.

"We have injuries on the third floor, my wife's a teacher there," the man reported to the 911 operator. "How many kids are injured?" "She can't see, she's tucked away in a building but she said to get the police to the third floor, there's injuries," the man said.

One thing all of these callers had in common was that their family members inside Stoneman Douglas had no idea what exactly was happening -- and what they did know, their family reported to 911 operators, hoping it would help.

"My step-daughter is in Stoneman Douglas with the active shooter in Coral Springs, Florida. She's been texting me, they are in the JROTC room and she said the active shooter is on their floor. I wanted to relay information because I know SWAT is there looking for him," one caller reported.

With every call and every piece of information reported, they had some peace of mind that help was at least on the way.
