Teachers are back at Stoneman Douglas High Friday in Parkland.

  • Students will return Wednesday
  • Voluntary campus orientation for all students on Sunday

They will try to begin the process of returning to some kind of normalcy. On Feb. 14, a gunman shot and killed 17 people at the school. 

According to Broward County Public Schools, today will be used to meet the needs of teachers and staff. 

Officials said faculty will be able to emotionally prepare themselves for next week when students are set to return. 

There will be voluntary campus orientation for all students on Sunday where a variety of support services will be available. 

Students are scheduled back for classes on Wednesday. 

As for the future of the school, the district has proposed tearing down the building on campus where the shootings happened.
