The Hillsborough River became the biggest bathtub rubber duckies have ever been in Saturday.

The Kiwanis Club kicked off its inaugural Incredible Duck Race in Curtis Hixon Park with family, music, and food before the big race.

Ducks were adopted for $5 each before the race. All the proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Tampa charitable foundation.

There were 7,000 ducks in the 100 foot race.

"I would say by the end of the event we will have raised about $25,000 and all of it is going to go back into the community to help kids here in Tampa Bay,” Amanda Malinowski, the Kiwanis Club of Tampa President, said.

The first three ducks that crossed the finish line won cash prizes. The first-place winner took home $5,000.
