A 24-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Pasco County.
The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m. at US 41 and Ensemble Boulevard.
Trooper said a Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on US 41 approaching the intersection of Ensemble Blvd., when for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the southbound lane and traveled across the northbound lane, onto the east shoulder.
The vehicle ended up collided with a tree, causing the driver to sustain fatal injuries.
The woman was pronounced dead on scene. The victim's name has not been release yet, pending notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
