One person was seriously injured Monday morning in a crash on Highway 27 in Lake Wales.

According to Lake Wales police, the crash happened on Hwy 27 between Central Avenue and Washington Avenue just before 9 a.m. The northbound lanes of the roadway were closed for several hours after the crash.
The southbound lanes remained open.
One person who was involved in the crash was airlifted from the scene due to serious injuries.
Authorities have not released that person's condition or details of the crash.
