A 21-year-old Bradenton woman was seriously injured in an accident early Friday morning. 

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. at Rye Road and Rivers Reach Boulevard. 

Troopers said a Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on Rye Road, just north of Rivers Reach, and took a curve to fast, causing the vehicle to drift over the center lane and strike a Cadillac head on.

The driver of the Sonata, Savannah Bennett, 21, was taken to Blake Medical Center in serious condition. 

The driver and passenger in the Cadi -- Colleen Brandon, 59, and Michael Brandon, 61, -- were taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center with minor injuries. 

According to the report, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
