Memorial Day is four days away and more than two million Floridians will be traveling for the holiday weekend.

‘Triple A’ projects nearly four million people will travel at least 50 miles from home this weekend.

Eighty eight percent of travelers are expected to go by car and nearly 3 million by plane. Approximately 1.75 million people will use a train, bus, or boat.  

If you plane on flying this weekend, it might take you a little longer to go through security.

TSA is testing enhanced screening of electronics at 10 U.S. airports. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida is one of the airports testing the electronics.

Travelers will be asked to place all electronics larger than a cell phone in a separate bin for X-Ray screening.

TSA officers will be around to help travelers through the process, making sure your holiday travel goes as smoothly as possible.
