  • Justin Troller accused of inappropriate communication with a student
  • Board to announce decision on Troller's job status Tuesday

Lakeland High School athletic director Justin Troller has been on leave since December. An investigation into Troller started last September into his communications with a 17-year-old student.

Superintendent Jacqueline Byrd recommended firing Troller, who also is a Lakeland city commissioner.

According to the Ledger, the boy told school officials and investigators that Troller asked him “what’s your size” during a Sept. 21 Snapchat conversation between 10:10 and 10:30 p.m. The student told detectives that Troller did not directly mention body parts.

No criminal charges have been filed against Troller.
