February is over and so is meteorological winter. March begins and spring is here.

Looking back at February, we continued with very warm and mainly dry weather. There were a few wet days during the month, but most of Central Florida ended up with below average rainfall.

Rainfall 2.06 (0.75 inches below average)

Lakeland
Average Temperature 68.4 (5.1 degrees above average)
Rainfall 1.69 (1.31 inches below average)

Bradenton
Average Temperature 67.0 (3.6 degrees above average)
Rainfall 1.79 (1.91 inches below average)

St Petersburg
Average Temperature 68.4 (4.3 degrees above average)
Rainfall 0.53 (2.19 inches below average)

Now that March is here, we are in Meteorological Spring. So, we can expect generally warmer temperatures, but it is still usually a dry time of year. Our best rain chances in March are from some Winter type cold fronts.

High 74, Low 56 on the 1st to 78 and 60 on the 31st. Average rainfall in March is 3.03  inches

Lakeland
High 76, Low 54 on the 1st to 80 and 58 on the 31st.  Average rainfall in March is 3.89 inches

Bradenton
High 75, Low 55 on the 1st to 78 and 59  on the 31st.  Average rainfall in March is 3.86 inches

St Petersburg
High 74, Low 58 on the 1st to 78 and 63 on the 31st.  Average rainfall in March is 3.75 inches
