A Polk County woman was arrested and charged after deputies said she stole someone else's Christmas decorations while walking with her children.

The sheriff's office received a report of a Disney Laser Light Projector that was stolen from a backyard on Ogden Drive in Mulberry on Monday, Dec. 11. 

Deputies quickly responded and saw a woman walking nearby with the projector in her arms. 

According to the report, when the deputy stopped her, she dropped the projector and said, "I didn't mean to take it." Officials also said she resisted arrest and lied about her name, identifying herself as Lisa Spann, which was her name 20 years ago before she changed it to Lisa Register. 

Register was charged with unarmed burglary, petit theft, negligent child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting with violence, and giving false ID to a LEO. 

Officials also she had an active warrant for her arrest for failure to appear following a petit theft, and attempted use of an ID of a deceased person.
