There is plenty of frustration surrounding Florida State football -- and that includes the head coach.

  • Fisher responds to yelling fan after loss
  • Coach says he will always defend his players
  • Seminoles lost to Louisville, are 2-4

After FSU's 31-28 loss Saturday to Louisville, coach Jimbo Fisher responded to a fan yelling at him as exited the field.

ESPN reported that the fan told Fisher he should make changes to his coaching staff and that Fisher told the fan he should come to the field and argue with him.

"What if that's your kid?" Fisher told reporters after the game. "If that was one of your kids or your nephew or your cousin or your friend, keep supporting them, you know what I mean? Just keep supporting."

Florida State is 0-3 at home for the first time since 1974. Overall the Seminoles are 2-4.

"There's no reason to be nasty," Fisher said of the exchange. "I shouldn't have said something. But at the same time, defending players and people you're with, I'm in charge of them. I love them like a father. When they say something to your family, you take up for it."

FSU plays at Boston College on Oct. 27.
