Authorities in Pasco County said a woman stole items from a residence, then threatened the homeowner with a lawsuit when she became hurt on the property.

Julie Ann Upright was charged Sunday afternoon with theft, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened on Woodbridge Count in Port Richey.

The Sheriff's Office said Upright was loading her vehicle with decorative blocks that had been placed in the yard of the home.

According to investigators, the victim said the 42 blocks were valued at $10 each.

Upright told deputies she thought the blocks were "trash" and then threatened to sue the homeowner because she hurt her back while loading the blocks.

The homeowner said the blocks were part of a remodeling project.

Upright was taken to Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
