Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a new partnership with Tampa International Airport on Friday in hopes to combat human trafficking.

New signs at the airport will educate travelers how to spot possible victims.

It comes at a time when local officials are on high alert for human traffickers, who typically travel to large events, like the College Football Championship.

Traffickers force their victims into a life of prostitution and drug abuse.

"Traffickers bring these victims into our city and neighboring areas during huge events such as a championship, Super Bowls, and national conventions," Bondi said.

Local law enforcement know how to spot victims and perpetrators.

"In the past several years we've trained deputies and law enforcement officers to see the signs of human trafficking," said Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.

"If you're a victim, we want to rescue you. We want to make sure you're safe. We're going to take you to a safe place, you won't go to jail."
