The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted their first home game of the pre-season Friday night. The exhibition game provided fans the opportunity to see firsthand a slew of improvements to Raymond James Stadium, including new giant video boards.

  • New video boards over each end zone
  • Four HD tower video displays in each corner of lower bowl
  • HD ribbon boards in center ring of stadium

Fans said there's a real "wow" factor inside RayJay now, with all the improvements.

"It looks amazing," said fan Tino Rosales. "All these lights and stuff that are up right now and especially at night, it looks brilliant."

"I don't even have words for it," said Donald Gilley. "I mean, if you're out here you cannot miss a play. It's just a change and it needed to change and I love it."

The centerpiece is new, state-of-the-art HD video boards in each end zone. There are also four HD tower video displays in each corner of the lower bowl and HD ribbon boards in the center ring of the stadium.

"It's a great experience and it's getting better every year," said Jason Good.

Fans are hoping all the renovations will "spotlight" an improved team during the regular season.

"I'm inspired, and hopefully we'll see a better Bucs team than we've seen in a few years," said Christine Burgan.

The $100 million renovation project also includes a new sound system, new luxury suites and improved concession stands.
