Legoland was evacuated Monday afternoon due to a water main break.
An employee said almost everyone was out of the park by 4 p.m. due to lack of working restrooms.
According to a statement released by Legoland,"The necessary repairs are being made, and we anticipate reopening tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m. EST (9:30 a.m. EST for annual pass holders and LEGOLAND Florida hotel guests). Guests holding tickets for today were given a complimentary pass to visit LEGOLAND Florida Resort in the future."
It appears a construction crew nearby was digging near a fence along Helena Road and may have caused the break.
Helena Road is closed from Legoland Way to Roosevelt Drive. Helena Road should reopen around 5:30 p.m. However, it will reclose overnight for continuation of repairs.
Law enforcement is onsite coordinating detours with the contractor and utility provider. Residential service is unaffected.
The theme park usually closes at 7 p.m., 6 p.m. for the water park.
