Only a few isolated showers and storms over the weekend, but rain chances really pick up for Monday.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. A disturbance will drop into Central Florida from the northwest, allowing for a few showers during the morning hours.  The rain will start first in Marion County and move southeast during the morning and into the afternoon. Lows will be warm, falling into the middle 70s.

Showers and storms will be likely throughout the day on Monday. Mostly cloudy skies and a higher chance for rain will allow for temperatures to drop back a bit.  Highs will climb into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.

Watch for some heavy rain, gusty wind, and frequent lightning with any activity that develops. As we move into the rest of the week, we will see a pattern of partly cloudy mornings, with showers and storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 90’s all week. Lows will be in the mid 70’s.

In the tropics, no development is expected over the next five days.
